university, the sands bethlehem in that area, just to kind of give you locate or. you want to exit at the exit number 60, and take route 145 north to 22. so, again, all eastbound traffic, east of allentown, should use route 22, instead of i78 for the morning rush hour. and overturned truck on the new jersey turnpike, this is southbound right at exit three, the black horse pike, schuylkill, running slow eastbound because of earlier disable, put about 24 minute on the clock. septa's regional rail lines still running with delays on all of the lines crowded trains and delays expected again, on all of the lines. and then right after the rush hour, they're going to shut down the martin luther king drive. all traffic leaving the city, during the day, will have to use the kelly drive. sue, back over to you. >> well for the roads that will be open it will be beautiful day from drive as long as you have air-conditioning in the car, it will be warmer and more humid than it has been the past couple every days, which is why we're a eight out of ten. bus stop celebrating eat

sadly yesterday. good thing that this is still summer, but late summer, so the kids are back in school. because as you say this happened n daytime mostly it, tells you how much worse it may have been if so many kids were not in school and on the streets all around all of the bullets bouncing off the street, the curb, and the houses. and as bad as five murdered in a single day, could have been, well, it is way worse, possibly, if some of those bullets that are near misses finds targets and again innocent victims, because among the critically wounded and so many near misses, lots of innocent victims, once again, the same pattern we've seen all summer of 2016. mary, lives on thayer street, since the 1980s, yesterday bullet heroin dough, window she was sitting right on the other side of. she was not hit but pregnant neighbor outside was. midday lunch hour three critically wounded the likely target but also a pregnant
neighbor of mary's, shot in both the head and the stomach putting both her and her unborn lives in jeopardy. our news photographer pete santo among those out here talking to people, here is some of his conversation with mary. >> just shot right here. and i heard about six, seven shots. i was getting on my chair. and as it goes through, could have hit me, my chair is right here. >> i see a lot of shooting around here. i got four grandchildren living here. i can't let them out. >> usually quiet street, up in northeast philadelphia, so they were going to each corner of the city, each hour, going to something else.

old. i will step out of the way here. this congregation has been here for just about ten years, and you can see, them, salvaging what they can here, looks like they're working on some boards to put up on the windows there. >> started little after 11:40 last night in the basement, also serves or served as dining area and place for storage. >> had to get tables and chairs down thereto deal with the flames. no one in the building at the time, and thankfully officials say no one hurt. the church as we said has been around this congregation for nine years, but small congregation, despite that, the pastor's family says the church more than bricks and mortar. >> we know the church is not the actual building. it is the people, church can be rebuilt. but, you know, we're just going to keep in prayer.
and rebuild from here. >> just know that this fire is not going to stop us. >> also want to show this video from inside the basement that we were able to gather. they let us inside. you can see all of the damage in the basement area. now, we are told the main war shop area has only been impacted by smoke damage, was not destroyed, despite that, they cannot use it at this time. we're told by fire officials, we also know that church leaders do have insurance here, they do plan on rebuildingment mike and alex? >> good. >> good they plan on rebuilding. >> yes. 7:08. well, montgomery county span in police custody, al next. >> after eight hour stand-off with police. fifty-four year old man was take never for mental health evaluation just before 11:00 last night. police say friend of the man called and asked officers to check on him as his home 100 block of bartlett court in franconia township. the man had been drinking and going through crisis over personal issue, neighbors, they were concerned.

diocese, did not want to go on camera, but supports cat don't catholic, unfortunately the school was unable to both accommodate the student's requests and remain fateful to its religious principals. mason and his father will be here on "good day" in about 20 minute to talk about how this decision has affected his life and also the petition to support that mason has been getting. >> look forward to talking with them. >> 7:10. hill had i now has plans to return to the campaign trail. but she still is relying on high level supporters, to help make her case. >> and donald trump meantime is trying to show up support among women. so doug, how does he plan on doing? sounds like pretty good maternity leave? >> reporter: yes, that's what he is talking b this is a proposal or kind after couple of proposals really, that aren't typically associated with republicans. >> donald trump campaigning in pennsylvania, his daughter yvonne a by his side as he
unveiled new plan for paid maternity leave and childcare tax credit. >> very little meaningful policy work has been done in this area. and my oponent has no childcare plan. she never will and if it ever evolves into a plan it, will never get done anyway. >> for trump the intent is clear. trying to car after way at hillary clinton's double digit lead among women. and with clinton taking another day off the campaign trail, this is a very real opportunity for the trump team. but clinton does have some backups. her husband, bill, traveled to california to fill in at two high dollar celebrity fundraisers. >> i really, really, really, really want to elect hillary clinton. >> president bamm a spent almost the entire day fundraising for hillary clinton in pennsylvanian new york, he didn't specifically mention her health, the isn't of so much attention, that she nearly collapsed over the weekends, but he did call her tireless. and he was relentless with his
attacks on trump up. >> this guy who spent 70 years on this earth showing no concern for working people, this guy suddenly is going to be your champion. >> did you catch that, not so subtle dig at donald trump's age. referred to trump as a guy who spent 07 years on this earth, donald trump would be the oldest person ever elect today a first term. hillary clinton though is not far hine. she will turn 69 next month. >> next month. doug, thank you for. that will doug played a lot of the president's visit here if philadelphia yesterday afternoon, but he started his speech by mentioning carson wentz, our quarterback. listen to this. >> i know, i know i am not the first person from the white house to come to philly this week. some of you may have seen joe biden it the owe eagles game. he told me, barack, you got to

(boo's). >> and we play philly next monday night. so i got to stick with my team, but i am going to go to philly and scout out what all of the fuss is about. >> so, the president becoming a scout, scout in chief. >> do you think he got to meet carson wentz? if i were carson, i would be hey, i'm right here, let's talk. >> i don't believe they did. >> we'll see monday night though, bears versus the eagles. >> yes, mr. president, we'll see what happens in the windy city. okay? by the way, if you do want to vote, and if you haven't registered to vote yet in pennsylvania, make it a pretty easy to do so. >> you can now register by sending a text. one simple text. if you are a pennsylvania resident, all do you have do is text the letters pa to, here is the number, 28683.

i-95, or the pennsylvania turnpike. it is a fatal crash. you see from the video here, officers on scent. let's come back to the maps here. anyone leaving allentown, police say at least 8:00. eastbound i78 closed between route 412 and route 33. so, in order to get into lehigh university, there is a major back up, all of the big rigs, big stretch of roadway. remember couple of years ago during what valentine day, when we had the big snowstorm, and folks were stranded, this is the same roadway that stretch of i78, where exit to exit could be like 10 miles from one exit to the other. whole backlog of tractor-trailers back up into the route 412. so you want to exit back here, at route number 145, and get up to i22. so route 22 is the best bet bottom line heading east of allentown this morning. back here locally on the new jersey turnpike southbound an
accident involving an overturned truck, at exit number three. and here is a accident, eastbound lanes of 422, it is right before the king of prussia interchange holding eastbound, not only sun glare coming around the curve but little fender bender as you work out, right there, sue even so distracted by that accident. shock. >> i wanted to help. >> you wanted to help. reach in there, grab those match boxcars, and move them off to the side. now, sue. >> yes? >> can i go in now? >> step in now. >> here's a look at the latest list. >> it is wednesday. >> i know. >> julia, we got a julia yesterday. a tropical storm just off the coast of florida. now, it is inland, it is still a tropical storm. 40-mile per hour winds, and whole lot of rain. now, that would be a good thing if we were going to get some of these soaking rains. but doesn't look like this storm is going to move any further north than. than north carolina then move out to sea.
we need rain. it doesn't look like we'll get much from the cold front that's going to come through after we get really hot and humid today, and probably inch into the 90's once again. so a look if he future cast close to up our area. lot of sunshine, heat, little humidity, by 7:00, maybe a pop up or two, but really not much showing up on the future cast at all for thunderstorms, game tonight, phillies and the pirate once again, 89 degrees, at game time. a lot warmer. sunset right after the first pitch. officially at 7:10 p.m. so instead of the four day heatwave like we had last week starting wednesday, we have 91 degrees temperature today, but then 70s on thursday, and friday. by friday morning, mike and alex it, will feel like autumn out there it, will feel like 50's. >> when is autumn? >> september 22. >> and that would be a friday? >> is it?
>> week from the day after tomorrow. >> it is a wednesday. >> like i said, it is wednesday. >> no, no, thursday of next week. >> thursday. >> next thursday. >> thank you. your point? >> a week from tomorrow. would be fall, should feel like family, because it is about fall. it is about fall. >> 7:20. all right. oh, man. he, listen to this, he must wear a girls skirt. he. the school uniform, a local student not allowed to attend catholic school after he enrolled as a girl and came out as a boy. he and his dad are here to talk to us in about seven minutes, if you have a question for he and his dad, get on twitter or facebook right now. >> do you want to get your favorite toy in the toy hall of fame? >> yes. >> you can vote for it now. find out which toys were named finalists for this year's class. >> bubble wrap is considered a toy? >> i didn't realize that either. i played with a lot. >> i can't stop playing with bubble wrap. //www.evertz.com>[a]

back up of tractor-trailers stuck in the delay. since 1:00 this morning the cars were able to either back up or make a u-turn. but i wouldn't be surprise if when this investigation is complete, that one of the vehicles got ongoing the wrong way off this route 33 interchange. where it is located and that's the scenario that it looks like right now so two car crash, anyone leaving allentown, avoid i78, and this is the exit for lehigh university, the sands up there in bethlehem. use route 22, as the alternate this morning. jammo from the jersey side, up and over into downtown, all because of a disable, what look like, a pick-up truck, hauling either horses, or a big old race car, disable on the philadelphia side of the ben franklin bridge, and then southbound lanes of the new jersey turnpike overturned

secular world. mason here with his father and his mother. >> how are you holding up through all of this mason? >> i'm all right. i'm stronger now because i have you guys, and all of the people that are supporting from camden catholic the student and stuff, which is insane. >> let's go back to why. because you wanted to go to camden catholic, flight. >> yes. >> that's because your father, was that partly because of your father? >> that was absolutely part of it. mason shadowed at a couple of local schools. and absolutely fell in love with camden catholic. >> great school. >> also you went there. >> i did. sometime ago. >> i love the school. and it was very responsible for a direction in my life. >> seemed like it was going pretty well with the negotiations with the school. >> were you end? >> we were accepted. couple scholarships came mason's way, and when mason came out on his birthday, may
13th, 14th birthday, we wanted to go to the school and let them know. and discuss how we could make this work. >> the bathroom, what bathroom were you going to use? >> we said to them we were willing to work with them, in anyway we k we really wanted mason to go there. we would -- mason would use the nurse's office, would change in the nurse's office, the only thing we couldn't do is have mason wear a girls uniform. >> mom, that kind of surprises me. >> we found a picture, girls and boys in the uniform, pretty standard, went to catholic school myself. pretty standard fair here, surprise that that's the sticking point, did it surprise you? >> very much so. >> in addition to wearing pants, wearing a pleaded skirt. the shoes are almost exactly the same as well.
it is surprising that's the stand they took. >> for you, mason, you guys then decided to say okay, then we won't go to the school or did the school say hey this is the only way we would allow to you come in? >> they went to the catholic identity issues, and we couldn't, we can't make this work. so, that's the way that they came down the issue. >> mason, did you consider it? did you consider putting on a girls uniform? >> not at all, because, even though it does sound so trivial now, it would have meant, and it still means, great deal to me, that every day i would have to get up, put on that uniform, just not feel me. >> you just wouldn't feel like yourself? >> like putting on a costume every day. not that i could work well in. >> i get your point. >> let's read the statement from camden catholic.
principal mission to form student in the faith we must always be true to the team that far fate. even indeed specially when those teachings are challenged by the secular world, we strive to be welcoming, respectful, and sensitive to each student's unique needs while always remaining true to the church's teaching. in this case, they chose to look for another school. >> are you catholic? >> yes. >> do you understand what they are saying? >> yes. >> do understand. i thought that the school would get ahead of this, that they would embrace it. that they would lead, that they would show and be forward thinking to address this issue and unfortunately doesn't look like they will be able to do that. >> it says it contradict the catholic ateams of gender identity. >> even quote pope francis and certain things that pope francis has said recent. >> i why do you want to go it a school that doesn't particularly want you?
>> when this first started if they did, ask me if i want to go, or if i did finds an opportunity to go, i would have said no. but for that reason, but now that i'm seeing the camden catholic community and the student and how much they love me without even meeting me, i would have to consider going and being with them every day. >> you're talking about the petition going around. how many signatures now? >> how many signatures? >> it is approaching 1700. >> and what's the goal? >> 1700. to let mason know that the student don't feel the way that the statements are coming out, that they want to embrace him. and they're asking for the school to reconsider their position, really what this is about is transgender children, and wanting to make sure that they know that they're perfect exactly the way that god created them, and the backs that are being turned, should not be --
